About
After my M.Sc. (Physics) from CSJM University, I Joined IGCAR as a trainee officer and then Scientific Officer. Completed PhD from HBNI at the IGCAR campus on "Sodium metal aerosol characterisation in the cover gas region". Presently, I am working in IGCAR as a Scientific Officer -F in Nuclear Aerosol Science and Technology relevant to the SFRs, and filtration science and technology. Currently working on sodium & fission product aerosol dispersion in a large volume and cover gas thermal hydraulics along with aerosol dynamics. Published over seventy publications in refereed International Journals, National and International conference proceedings. Received DAE - Group Achievement awards in 2016, DAE - Young Scientist Award in 2017 and two Best Oral Presentation Awards in 2018. Member of professional bodies, including the Indian Aerosol Science and Technology Association (IASTA), Indian Association for Radiation Protection (IARP), Indian Nuclear Society (INS) and Indian Society for Radiation Physics (ISRP). Research interests include Nuclear and radioactive Aerosol sources, Issues related to the SFRs. R & D on filtration of facemasks following sterilization.
