About

Dr. Pankaj Dhatrak is currently working as an Associate Professor, in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at MIT World Peace University, Pune, India. He has received his PhD degree from Savitribai Phule Pune University in the field of Biomechanical Engineering. His research interests focus on Finite Element Analysis of Automotive components, Biomechanics, Biomaterials, and medical devices. Biomedical research in Dentistry and integration of Mechanical Engineering for varied Biomechanical applications are some of his key areas of research. He has 23+ years of experience, out of which 5 years of Industrial experience in the field of vibration, Fatigue analysis of automotive components using various CAE tools, and 18+ years of academic experience in teaching UG/PG students. He has published more than 80 research articles in peer-reviewed journals and International Conference Proceedings. Recently, he has been involved in the material characterization and modeling of scaffolds to improve cell proliferation rate. He worked as a Technical Advisory Committee Member for various International Conferences. He has also worked as a Reviewer in more than 20 reputed peer-reviewed journals (Bioengineering, Journal of Brazilian Society of Mechanical Sciences and Engineering, Journal of Computer Methods in Biomechanics and Biomedical Engineering, Materials, etc.). He is a Life member of the Indian Society of Technical Education (ISTE) and Society of Automotive Engineering (SAE-India Western Section).
