About
Arun K. Thiruvengadam is, since Sep 2021, a Professor of Law at the National Law School (NLSIU) Bangalore. His areas of research and teaching focus are: Indian constitutional and administrative law, comparative constitutional studies, law and development, law and politics in South Asia, and the history and contemporary trends in legal education.
He holds degrees in law from NLSIU (B.A., LL.B (hons.), LL.M) and New York University School of Law (LL.M, J.S.D.). He has earlier held faculty positions at the Faculty of Law, National University of Singapore (Visiting Fellow (2005-2006), Assistant Professor (2007-2015)), Azim Premji University (Associate Professor (2015-2017) and Professor of Law (2017-2021). He has taught as visiting faculty at several institutions within India (WBNUJS Kolkata, Sai University Chennai), in North America (University of Toronto Faculty of Law), and in Europe (University of Trento, Italy and Central European University, Budapest/Vienna).
