I come from an established medical background with a specialization in exercise physiology, kinesiology, and public health. My research at the University of Gloucestershire focuses on (1) investigating the interactions between modifiable lifestyle behaviors such as sedentary behavior (specifically prolonged sitting) and cardiovascular and cerebrovascular risk in menopausal women, (2) examining the complex physiology of interventions targeting sitting breakdown, and (3) translation of sedentary behavior research into public health policy.
