About
I am Raju Lal Bhardwaj, currently working as a Professor (Horticulture) and Dean of the College of Agriculture, Baytu (Rajasthan) since August 2024, and previously at the College of Agriculture, Sumerpur-Pali from 2021 in the same post. I joined Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Sirohi, as SMS (Horticulture) and worked in the tribal belts of Sirohi from 2008 to 2016, and conceptualized “Region Specific Integrated Farming System Models” for bringing change in the horticultural scenario of district Sirohi. I have published 15 research papers in international journals and 65 in national-level journals; 10 booklets, 27 folders, 10 popular articles in English and 115 in Hindi, 16 compendia, 12 books and guides, 7 book chapters, 1 practical manual, 1 seminar souvenir, 2 packages and practice books, and 1 chapter published in EOLSS from the US. I guided nine M.Sc. (Horti.) students as a minor guide, six M.Sc. (Horti.) students as a major guide, and four PhD students as a Major guide. Additionally, I taught 39 Undergraduate-Level courses and 8 postgraduate-level courses at COA, Sumerpur, and Jodhpur. I have been involved in a long-term working experiment on nutrition management and improving the nutritional quality of fruits and vegetables since 2018. I have led as PI, CO-PI, and Associate Scientist more than 15 research and extension projects funded under NHM, NHB, NAIP, RMoL, ATMA, RKVY, NBB, and other national and international organisations. I also served in several important administrative posts, including additional responsibilities as Officer-in-charge, ARSS Sumerpur, Zonal Director of Research, ARS Jalore, and Master Trainer for Horticulture in Agro-climate Zone II B. I received more than 21 awards from various district, state, and national-level organizations for my excellent work in the field of horticultural development and farmer welfare. I also serve as an important reviewer for many national and international journals and am a member of many scientific bodies. At present, I have also served as a thesis reviewer for PhD and M. Sc students and a paper setter for many Universities.
