About
I hold a BSc in Agriculture and an MSc in Food Innovation with IP, complemented by over 3 years of experience as a Food Safety Technician in a BRCGS-accredited food manufacturing company in the United Kingdom. My academic background spans plant pathology, molecular biology, and food science and technology. I have practical experience in molecular and bioinformatics techniques (qPCR, sequence analysis, BLAST, and phylogenetic analysis), together with a strong understanding of gene expression studies and microbial interactions.
My research interests focus on plant–microbe interactions, fungal biology, mycotoxin biosynthesis, biological control strategies, and the molecular mechanisms underlying crop health and food safety. Understanding how microbial and environmental factors influence gene expression and secondary metabolite production, to develop sustainable approaches to enhance food security and agricultural resilience.
