About
Anda-Ioana SFINTEŞ is Lecturer at “Ion Mincu” University of Architecture and Urban Planning (UAUIM) Bucharest, Romania and a practicing architect. She has a master degree in Anthropology and a PhD in Architecture. Her work focuses on: the understanding and creative use/interpretation of the built environment, the architectural response to contemporary cultural and social challenges, contemporary concepts in architecture/teaching architecture, all in a multidisciplinary perspective. She follows bridging architectural design and scientific quality in architectural education, searching for coherent ways of applying and illustrating research aims and outcomes throughout the entire design process. In 2016 she founded ANTROPOARH – Research in Architectural Anthropology Studio as part of UAUIM’s Center for Architectural and Urban Studies.
