I Dr.V.N.Nagaprabu DNB Rheumatology, DNB General Medicine at present consultant rheumatologist in sakthi rheumatology centre pvt ltd a stand alone rheumatology centre in south india since 2014 catering to patients with rheumatic diseases . I was also instrumental in creating the Department of Rheumatology in PSGIMS&R, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, one of the tertiary care centre’s. Graduated from Thanjavur Medical College in 2001, I did my post graduate medicine training from one of the best centre of south India Amrita Institute of Medical sciences. The bed side teaching of AIMS refined my ways in medicine: but this was deficient in Rheumatological aspects which were filled in Nizams institute (NIMS) one of the premiere institutes for Rheumatology training. In NIMS my areas of research were in digital ischemia, male lupus, and cognitive dysfunction in lupus which I had presented in state and national level conference. I was associated back with Amrita Cochin briefly following my rheumatology training and then in PSG Institution which helped immensely in establishing a isolated centre for rheumatic diseases . At present my interest is in the role of dietary factors in Rheumatoid arthritis
