About
Dr. Surendra Kumar Gautam, Associate Professor & Head, Department of Life Sciences, Faculty of Science, Shri Rawatpura Sarkar University, Raipur, Chhattisgarh and also carrying role as Chairman of Examination Committee, Head of the Admission Committee and other academic and administrative committees of the University from 2020 to till now. He completed his PG (2007) and Ph.D. in Bioscience (2016) from Pandit Ravishankar Shukla University, Raipur, Chhattisgarh.
He has ten years of teaching experience and about three years of research & Six months of industrial experience as JRF in DST & CGCOST funded projects and in Burgeon Pharmaceutical Ltd respectively.
He was awarded UGC-Basic Science Research Fellowship and Rajiv Gandhi National Fellowship (2011) during the course of Ph.D. work. He was recognized and nominated for the prestigious Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Life Time Achievement National Award for remarkable achievement in the field of teaching, research and publications on 2021 by National Institute for Socio Economic Development, Institute for Empowering Under Privileged Rural India, Bangaluru and Recognized as COVID-19 Combatant certified by the school of Allied Health Sciences, VMRF-DU Salem with Vinayaka Missions Research Fooundation and MHRD’s Innovation Cell, Govt. of India.
His area of research was plant nematology & plant science. 05 Indian patents, 01 UK patent, Author of two textbook, Edited two books and Six research papers were published by him in various international and national journals. He also presented seven research papers in national and international seminars and conferences. Participated in more than 51 International/ National conferences/ Seminars. He was reviewer of more than five international journals. He was organized three National Seminar(CGCOST funded)/webinar, and five national programs. He is a member of BOS Botany, Pt. Ravishakar Shukla University, Raipur and Universal Society of Food and Nutrition (USFN) 2021.
