About

Dr. Ardhendu Sekhar Giri is presently working as a Visiting Assistant Professor in Department of Chemical Engineering at Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Bhopal from July 2018 to till date. Prior to join at IISER Bhopal he worked as a Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering at NIT Jalandhar. He did his B.Tech and M.Tech in Chemical Engineering from University of Calcutta. He completed his PhD in same discipline at IIT Guwahati in 2015. Many UG and PG students are now working under his supervision. His main research areas are Advanced oxidation processes (AOPs), Catalysis and Electrochemistry, Polymeric Nanocomposites, Electrocatalytic H2O2 generation and sensing, Fabrication, and development of Nanoparticles (NPs) and Biosensor, Environmental Pollution Control and Chelation technology.
He has published more than 45 scientific research articles in different reputed international journals and conference proceedings. Dr. Giri was awarded from NIT Rourkela and IIT Guwahati by presenting best paper in an international symposium in 2013 and 2014, respectively. He is an editorial board member for the journals International Journal of Environmental Chemistry and International Journal of Analytical and Applied Chemistry from Sept. 2018- till date. He is also a potential reviewer for many prestigious journals like Environmental Progress and Sustainable Energy (AIChE), Chemical Engineering Journal (Elsevier), Analytical Methods (Royal Society of Chemistry), Chemosphere (Elsevier), Water Environment Research (Wiley) and Korean Journal of Chemical Engineering (Springer).
