About
I am a materials scientist specializing in the development of lightweight metallic alloys, particularly Al- and Mg-based systems. My research focuses on understanding and controlling atomic-scale microstructural features, including interfaces, solute segregation, and precipitation phenomena, to enhance mechanical performance. I employ advanced characterisation techniques such as aberration-corrected scanning/transmission electron microscopy (S/TEM) and atom probe tomography (APT) to establish processing–microstructure–property relationships. My work aims to develop high-strength, heat-resistant lightweight alloys for structural applications through atomic-scale interface engineering.
