About
I am Kavi Bhushan Singh Chouhan, and I have obtained a Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, a Master's degree in Pharmacy, and a PhD from Bilaspur, Chhattishgarh. Throughout my Ph.D. program at Guru Ghasidas Central University in Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh, India, I performed thorough research on creating a solvent-free green extraction model. This model was designed specifically for extracting bioactive molecules that are both economically and therapeutically significant. I developed efficient procedures for extracting and analyzing these chemicals from both commercially available and medicinal plants, without the need for any solvents. By employing cutting-edge techniques such as the Microwave Extraction Unit, Automated Soxhlet Extraction Unit (B-811), HPTLC, UV-Spectrophotometer, GC-MS, and LC-MS, I have successfully improved and developed a methodical procedure for extracting antioxidants (phenolics and flavonoids) and essential oils from easily obtainable plant materials, for both commercial and therapeutic applications. Aside from my research experience, I have also undertaken investigations on botanical extraction and natural product study. My main area of concentration was the development of extraction techniques for botanicals that do not require the use of solvents. I have extensive knowledge and proficiency in many analytical and purification techniques, including High-Performance Thin-Layer Chromatography (HPTLC), Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS), and Liquid Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS). In addition, I have a distinguished track record of sharing research findings through respected scientific journals.
