About
Dr Chandrabhan Seniya is an accomplished interdisciplinary scientist with over 15 years of experience, currently serving as Assistant Professor (Selection Grade) in the Department of Biotechnology and Chemical Engineering at Manipal University Jaipur. He also holds an honorary research fellowship at the University of Warwick, UK.
Dr Seniya earned his PhD in Engineering from the University of Warwick, where he pioneered low-cost, label-free quantitative phase imaging systems for live-cell visualisation, a technology later extended to rapid, non-invasive diagnostics. His research traverses the fields of bio-optics, molecular imaging, computational biology, and antiviral therapeutics, with a particular focus on affordable yet impactful biomedical innovations.
As an investigator, he has worked for prominent bodies like ICMR and DST on projects involving nano‑herbal drug delivery systems targeting HIV‑1 and AI-enhanced optical devices for disease monitoring. His work marries molecular dynamics simulations with phytochemical-based formulation research, culminating in over 35 peer-reviewed publications.
Dr Seniya is known for his commitment to translational research—bridging laboratory engineering and public health. He actively collaborates across international and institutional boundaries, and his mentorship of doctoral and postgraduate students fosters the next generation of biotechnology innovators.
