Currently working as Professor in Civil Engineering Department of VR Siddhartha Engineering College, Vijayawada, AP. Formerly Professor and Head, Department of Geology, Director, IQAC, Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University, Amravati-444602 during 1996 to 30th April 2022 and Senior Lecturer at the School of Studies in Geology, Vikram University, Ujjain, MP from January 1989 to 1996.
Successfully completed training programme and a course on advanced analytical Geochemistry at the Kings College, London with the fellowship from the British Council, UK for two months during 1984 and analysed 5000 rock samples using ICPMS and AAS techniques. Successfully completed Post doctoral programme under the Commonwealth Academic Staff Fellowship for 1 year during 1995 at the Royal Holloway University of London, UK. Successfully completed Post doctoral programme for 2 months during 2000 at the Royal Holloway University of London. Successfully completed Post doctoral programme on Paleomagnetism for 2 months during 2007 at the IPGP University of Paris, France.
Successfully completed the Post-Doctoral Research Faculty at the Institute of Geosciences (ISTE), Lausanne University, Switzerland for 3 months during October to December 2021. With due regards, I would like to submit my application for your kind perusal and favourable consideration.
Excellent academics (M.Sc. with First rank, distinction and Gold Medal from the Andhra University and Ph.D with 8.65 CPI in coursework from the Department of Earth Sciences, IIT, Mumbai), outstanding research contribution such as Two Young Scientist awards from the Indian Science Congress and M.P. Council of Science and Technology, Bhopal and administrative experience as evident from my CV and publication of research papers in very high impact factor journals such as two papers in Science with Impact Factor of 41.845 and many more in other reputed international journals. Administrative experience of more than 25 years as the Professor and Head of the department of Geology and Director, IQAC for more than 7.5 years. In addition, established international research collaboration for the last 30 years with Royal Holloway University of London, UK; Laboratoire de Paleomagnetism, Institut de Physique du Globe de Paris, IPGP, Paris, France; Department of Geosciences, Princeton University, USA; Department of Earth, Atmospheric and Planetary Sciences. Massachusetts Institute of Technology MIT, USA; Department of Earth, Atmospheric and Planetary Sciences, Purdue University, USA; Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences, University of Rochester, Rochester USA; Institute of Geosciences, Lausanne University, Switzerland and School of Built Environment, University of Ulster, Northern Ireland, UK.
Successfully completed 14 major and minor research projects sponsored by various funding agencies such as DST, UGC, ICAR etc including two innovative programmes of UGC with a total outlay of more than 2 Crores. Till date 21 candidates have been awarded their Ph.D. degree and 5 ongoing under supervision. Successfully worked as the Director, IQAC and lead Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University twice to face the NAAC PEER Team which led to getting the " A” Grade and B++ Grades for the University.
Established the research collaboration with internationally renowned scientists Prof. Gerta Keller and Prof. Blair Schoene from the Princeton University, USA, Mike Eddy from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), USA and Prof. Thierry Adatte from the University of Lausanne, Switzerland who are collaborating on a project on the Chronology of Deccan volcanism. Dr. Khadri has been nominated as the research team leader to lead a group of reputed research scientists from US and Switzerland for the proposed international field trip programme during 9th to 22nd December 2013. This project is of international scientific importance and has garnered worldwide interest, which outlines the rational and importance of this scientific investigation for the international advancement of science on one of the most important problems “the role of volcanism in mass extinctions” and the high visibility role that both collaborating institutions can play in solving this problem. This international research collaboration makes it critical for further research as it will certainly benefit the on-going research and development activities of the department and University. Successfully established International research collaboration with Princeton University, USA, MIT, USA and Lausanne University, Switzerland and conducted a series of field trips as the Team Leader for the International Team of Scientists for 20 days each for the last 12 years from 2010 to 2022. Based on the international collaborative research, published one detailed research paper entitled “U-Pb geochronology of the Deccan Traps and relation to the end-Cretaceous Mass Extinction” in SCIENCE with Impact Factor 37.205 in 15th January 2015.
