Dr. Gopal Krishan is currently Scientist-E, at National Institute of Hydrology, Roorkee and Ex-Researcher-Indo Gangetic Basin, Groundwater Resilience Project, British Geological Survey, United Kingdom (2014-15) and IIRS-ISRO (2006-2009). Dr. Gopal has over 24 years of research experience in many facets of hydrological evaluations, surface water and groundwater hydrology project management, and field investigations. Dr. Gopal has expertise in isotope hydrology, hydro-geochemistry and water quality studies.

He has supervised 4 awarded PhD thesis (IIT-Roorkee; PU, Chandigarh; BHU, Varanasi; SKUAST-Kashmir); 17 master dissertations; 1 CV Raman Fellow (Ghana) and 1 DAAD Fellow (Germany).

Dr. Gopal has published more than 100 International Journal articles, > 15 book chapters, and edited 2 books.

Developed international collaborations with BGS, UK; HTWD, Germany; IAEA, Vienna; IOWA State University.
