About
I am a professor of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida, USA. My research is in the general are of mechanics of composite materials and structures. Currently I am interested in micro-mechanical methods for predicting the strength and fracture properties of composites and other heterogeneous material systems. I teach courses in mechanics of composite materials and structures, fracture mechanics and aerospace structures. I received my B.E with Honours in Mechanical Engineering from Madurai University, ME from the Indian Institute of Science at Bangalore and my Ph.D. in Aeronautics and Astronautics from Purdue University.
