About
When I was in school at Air Force School Agra, I always wanted to be a teacher since it made me feel so good to make my friends happy by helping them grasp concepts or find solutions to difficulties.
Having spent my summer holidays in my local village, where many people relied heavily on agriculture for their living, I had always believed that agricultural practices were labor-intensive and far less productive due to the small profit margin. This has always inspired me to work in the agricultural industry. I was adamant about mathematics and applied science, and I chose to pursue my degree in Agricultural Engineering at Orissa University of Agriculture and Technology because I wanted to help the agricultural industry.
During graduating, I became really interested in Farm Machinery, an Agricultural Engineering specialization that deals with using various kinds of technology for farm operations. The field capacity of these devices piqued my interest and allayed my worries regarding labor dependence. Because of my interest in knowing this specialization in depth even after graduation; thus, I passed the GATE and decided to pursue a master's degree at IIT Kharagpur.
When I attended my Masters courses, it was as though I had stumbled across an information gold mine. My subject-matter expertise increased significantly, and I also gained understanding of a few interdisciplinary issues. In the meantime, I was able to secure an internship with CLAAS India Pvt. Ltd., an agro-industry, through my MTech project. While working on the project, I came to the realization that research and innovation in the field of farm machinery are urgently needed and that knowledge from interdisciplinary fields may be effectively transferred to the field. I therefore made the decision to transfer to the same university for a Ph.D. I'm currently conducting research on "Robotic Harvester in a Protected Environment," a vast topic. I was awarded the esteemed Prime Minister Research Fellowship (PMRF) based on my study proposal.
If you're still reading, you might assume that this man became a researcher but he originally wanted to teach. However, I can combine these two skills in one profession—becoming a professor. My experience at university was life-changing, and I developed a deep admiration and regard for the scholars who helped me discover this universe. I find this exciting, and I hope to have a similar impact on the lives of other students.
