Anbazhagan Mahadevan

About

Dr. Anbazhagan M hails from a small village in the Perambalur district of Tamil Nadu. Currently serving as an Assistant Professor (Selection Grade) in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Amrita School of Computing, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore campus, he has a rich academic background with a B.E. and M.E. in Computer Science and Engineering from Anna University.

Dr. Anbazhagan completed his research on "Review Rating Prediction Approaches for Recommendation Systems" at the National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli. Since embarking on his career as a lecturer in December 2008, he has worked in various parts of South India, significantly contributing to academia.

He is currently working on:
Context-aware, multimodal, and explainable recommendation systems
Graph Neural Networks for data with highly complex relationships
Transformer-powered GenAI
Deep and machine learning for data analytics

In addition to his research, Dr. Anbazhagan is the faculty coordinator for the Intel IoT Club and in charge of the Signal Processing, Machine Learning, and Artificial Intelligence Lab. He also serves as a member of the Board of Studies for M.Tech. AI and M.Tech. AI and Machine Learning, and the Department Academic Advisory Committee.

A noteworthy achievement in his career includes being recognized as a national level winner by Wipro Mission10X for his case study on "Innovative Teaching Pedagogical Techniques."
