About
Dr. Imran Athar Beg is an Assistant Professor of Mining Engineering at Shri Rawatpura Sarkar University, Raipur, India. He holds a Ph.D. and M.Tech in Mining Engineering from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology (ISM) Dhanbad, and a B.E. from Government Engineering College, Bilaspur. His doctoral research focused on assessing the impact of mine ventilation on radiation dose exposure in low-grade underground uranium mines, reflecting his specialization in mine health and safety, particularly radiation hazards in mining environments.
With over a decade of teaching experience across various institutions, Dr. Beg has contributed significantly to mining education. His research portfolio includes multiple SCI and Scopus-indexed publications in journals such as *Radiation Physics and Chemistry*, *Environmental Monitoring and Assessment*, and *Journal of Sustainable Mining*. His technical skills span software tools like Ventsim, SURPAC, MATLAB, SPSS, and ANSYS, supporting his expertise in mine ventilation modeling, geotechnical analysis, and statistical evaluation.
Dr. Beg is passionate about social work, sports, and reading, and is fluent in English, Hindi, and Urdu.
