About
Guriya Sharma completed her Ph.D. in the Department of Education at the University of Calcutta, West Bengal, India. During her doctoral studies, she worked as a full-time researcher under the prestigious UGC-NET Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) (2022–2025), funded by the University Grants Commission, New Delhi. She holds a Master’s degree in Education from the University of Calcutta, where she was a university rank holder. She has consistently demonstrated strong academic performance throughout her educational journey.
She also has research experience through an international collaborative project between the University of Calcutta and McGill University, Canada. In 2024–2025, she was selected for the Erasmus+ Doctoral Mobility Programme at Eötvös Loránd University, Budapest, Hungary, which further enriched her international research experience and collaboration.
Her research interests focus on student mental health, suicidal ideation, inclusive education, and the educational challenges faced by marginalized and vulnerable groups. She has published her research in peer-reviewed journals and presented her work at national and international conferences.
Passionate about accessible and inclusive education, she also creates digital learning content and engages a growing audience through her educational YouTube platform. Her academic journey has been recognised through several honours and scholarships, including the Merit-cum-Means Scholarship and awards for academic achievement at the school and university levels.
