Govind Singh Rajpurohit

About

Govind Singh Rajpurohit is an Indian legal education administrator, currently serving as Head and Dean of the Department of Law at the University of Rajasthan, Jaipur, since 2018. He previously held the same position at Jagan Nath University, Jaipur. An alumnus of the University of Rajasthan, he began his teaching career in 1999 at various institutions, including Baba Mungipa College of Law and S.S. Jain Subodh Law College.

Rajpurohit has significantly contributed to legal education by restructuring university curricula and organizing seminars, conferences, and moot courts. He is actively involved with the University Grants Commission (UGC), Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), and serves as a member of the General Council of National Law University, Jodhpur. He is also associated with several national and international journals and professional bodies.

His research includes a Ph.D. completed in 2003, with 65 research papers, book reviews, and treatises to his credit. He has guided numerous Ph.D. students and serves on the Editorial Advisory Board of law research journals. Rajpurohit has authored ten books, focusing on topics like intellectual property rights, human rights, international trade law, criminology, and transgender rights, published by reputed publishers like Lap Lambert and Green Leaf Publication.

He resides in Jaipur, and continues to be a prominent figure in legal academia, invited as a distinguished guest and chief guest at various universities.
