About

I am presently working as Professor of Pharmacology in Dept. of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology, Hisar (Haryana, India).
I passed my B. Pharm. in 1991 and M. Pharm. (Pharmacology) in 1993 from Panjab University, Chandigarh (India). I completed my PhD from Guru Jambheshwar University, Hisar (Haryana, India) in Feb., 2006. My areas of research include CNS Pharmacology, particularly to evaluate the plants / plant constituents for memory enhancing, antidepressant and antianxiety, anti-tardive dyskinesia, antiepileptic, antiobesity and antihyperlipidemic activities.
I have received following two awards:
1. Received Prof. M. L. Khorana Memorial Prize for the year 2003 for the best research paper (in the area of Pharmacology and Clinical Pharmacy) entitled “Cardioprotective action of BN 50739 in myocardial ischaemia-reperfusion injury in rats” published in Indian J. Pharmaceutical Sciences 2003; 65(2): 122-127.
2. Chandra Kanta Dandiya Prize from Professor P.C. Dandiya Endowment Trust for best research paper publications in the field of Pharmacology for biennial 2010-2011 during XX Prof. P.C. Dandiya Oration held on 4th Feb., 2012 at SMS Medical College, Jaipur (Rajasthan).
I have been to Japan and Malaysia for presenting research papers in international conferences.
I have supervised 20 M. Pharm. and 03 PhD students; and presently supervising 5 M. Pharm. and 6 PhD students.
I have published 50 research papers and 08 review papers in various national and international journals. I am also reviewer for 50 national and international journals; and reviewed around 150 research/review papers.
I have delivered 8 invited lectures in various workshops/refresher courses/conferences.
