About

Mai Badr received her Doctor of Public Health Sciences in Environmental Chemistry and Biology specialty from the Environmental Health department at Alexandria University. She serves as a lecturer who tutors postgraduate students in the fields of environmental chemistry and biology for the High Institute of Public Health in the Environmental Health department. In addition, she is the executive manager of the Environmental Health Research, Analysis, and Studies Unit in the High Institute of Public Health at Alexandria University. A strong advocate for contribution, creativity, knowledge, learning, success, and responsibility, she involves her students in keeping a teaching hall for effective learning, finding solutions to practical problems themselves before showing them how to solve them (ability to work in a team and problem-solving skills), thinking and reasoning processes, and making self-assessment and career plans. Her professional interests focus on applying biotechnology and nanotechnology, and her current research includes antimicrobial resistance, water and wastewater treatment, and management.
