About

Dr. V. Muthuraj received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Chemistry from Madurai Kamaraj University (1997), Madurai and Bharathidasan University (1999), Tiruchirappalli, respectively. He earned his Ph.D. degree in Chemistry at Madurai Kamaraj University, India with Prof. A. Ramu in the area of bioinorganic chemistry. He is currently works as an Assistant professor at Department of Chemistry ay V.H.N. Senthikumara Nadar College (Autonomous) affiliated to Madurai Kamaraj University, Madurai, India. He visited SKKU, South Korea for the collaboration work with Prof. Am Jang using the fund from the South Korea. His current research interests include organic compounds extraction from marine sponge and its activity for cancer cell, sensing of toxic chemicals using 2D materials such as graphene, MOFs and C3N4-based materials. His group mainly focused on the degradation of the toxic substances, especially degradation of pollutants from pharmaceuticals waste, pesticides etc. Further, he actively involved in the synthesis of nanomaterials from greener method.
