About
I am a geographer and urban climatologist specializing in urban heat mitigation and energy resilience in cities. My research combines mesoscale urban climate modeling, city digital twins, advanced heat mitigation technologies, high-resolution remote sensing, in situ microclimate monitoring, building energy modeling, and rooftop photovoltaic systems. Through international collaborations, I develop evidence-based strategies to reduce urban heat, enhance energy efficiency, and support sustainable, climate-resilient urban development. I lead international collaborations in cities including Kolkata, Delhi, Riyadh, Sydney, Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Brisbane, Brussels, Austin, Athens, Miami, Mombassa, Singapore, Rio de Janeiro, Darwin, Alice Springs and Dubai, developing evidence-based strategies to mitigate urban heat, enhance energy efficiency, and support climate-resilient urban development. My work bridges science, technology, and policy, providing actionable insights for planners, architects, and decision-makers.
