Dr. Atma Ram Gupta received his B.Tech in Electrical Engineering from C V Raman College of Engineering, Bhubaneshwar (Odisha), M.Tech in Electrical Systems from NIT Durgapur (West Bengal) and Ph.D in Power Systems from NIT Kurukshetra (Haryana). Currently working as Associate Professor in Electrical Engineering Department of Govt. Engg. College Kishanganj. Prior to this, Dr. Gupta has worked as Principal In-Charge of Shri Phanishwar Nath Renu Engineering College Araria (Formerly Govt. Engg. College Araria), Bihar Engineering University, Patna, DSTTE Govt of Bihar India for more than two years, Associate Professor at GEC Kaimur, GEC Arwal and Assistant Professor at NIT Kurukshetra, Haryana (Institution of National Importance) MHRD, Govt. of India for 10 years. His research interest is Renewable Energy Sources based DG and D-FACTS allocation in distribution system and High Voltage Engineering and applications of IoT and ICT enabled technologies for smart city. He has organized several short-term courses, AICTE ATAL FDP and international conferences. He is a Senior Member of IEEE and IEEE Power & Energy Society. He is member of IEEE Young Professionals, IEEE Dielectrics and Electrical Insulation Society Membership, IEEE Council on Superconductivity, IEEE Nanotechnology Council, IEEE Sensors Council, CIGRE and Member of The Institution of Engineers (India). He is an Executive Member of PES-IAS Chapter for IEEE Delhi Section. He has 14 years of teaching, research and administrative experience and published 85 number of research articles in various reputed international Journals, Book chapters and Conferences. He has supervised 02 Ph.D and 12 M.Tech research scholars till now. His Google Scholar Citations is more than 1200 with h-index 18 and i10-index 28. Recognized as one of the top 2% influential researchers globally from the last three consecutive years for 2023, 2024 & 2025. This prestigious acknowledgment comes from Scientists at Stanford University, USA & Elsevier.
