About
Nikhil Gupta received his B.Tech. degree in mechanical engineering from Y.M.C.A. Institute of Technology, Haryana, India in 2008 and M.S. degree from North Dakota State University, Fargo, ND, in 2010. During the master’s degree he worked on the design and development of decentralized distributed control system for an all wheel drive all wheel steered robotic vehicle. In Summer 2014 he successfully defended his Ph.D. dissertation titled “Dynamic Modeling and Motion Planning for Skid-Steered Vehicles” successfully at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Florida State University, Tallahassee, FL. At present he is working as Postdoctoral Research Associate at Department of Mechanical Engineering, FAMU-FSU College of Engineering. His research interests are primarily in the areas of dynamic system modeling, intelligent control, autonomous mobile wheeled and legged robotics, kinodynamic motion planning, and mechatronics.
