INDIAN INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY (BANARAS HINDU UNIVERSITY) VARANASI, BBAU
About
I am a Ph.D. researcher at the Indian Institute of Technology (BHU), Varanasi, working at the interface of cancer biology, biochemical engineering, and computational life sciences. My research focuses on understanding the cross-talk between autophagy and apoptosis pathways in cancer, particularly the role of protein–protein interactions in regulating cancer cell survival and therapeutic response.I completed my M.Pharm. in Pharmaceutical Analysis from BBAU Central University, Lucknow, where I graduated as the department topper, and earned my B.Pharm. from Himachal Pradesh Technical University. My academic and research training has provided strong expertise in pharmaceutical sciences, biochemical engineering, molecular modeling, analytical and bioanalytical techniques, and translational cancer research.
My research interests include cancer therapeutics, computational drug discovery, protein–protein and protein–peptide interactions, nanoformulations for anticancer drug delivery, stress biology, and biomolecular pathway analysis. I have experience in developing analytical and bioanalytical HPLC methods, isolating and characterizing bioactive molecules, conducting molecular simulations using GROMACS and docking platforms, and performing in vitro studies using cancer cell lines such as MCF-7, MDA-MB-231, and SKBR3.
In addition to academic research, I have industrial exposure through roles at Macleods Pharmaceuticals Ltd. and professional training at Cipla, where I worked on quality management systems, validation activities, analytical workflows, and regulatory processes. I am passionate about combining computational and experimental strategies to advance scientific understanding and contribute to innovative, translational, and therapeutically relevant research outcomes in cancer and life sciences.
