About
Siddhartha Singh studied at the University of Allahabad for his post-graduate degree in English literature. He worked on the critical theories of Harold Bloom. An exhaustive study of Harold Bloom’s critical ideas, contemporary theories, Jewish theology, western philosophy, and literary criticism earned him a D. Phil in 2008. Formerly Associate Professor and Head at MMPG College, Kalakankar, Pratapgarh, U.P. India, he is currently teaching in Sri Jai Narain Post Graduate College, Lucknow, U.P. India.
He has to his credit several papers on theory, diasporic and Indian writing in English and has participated in many international and national conferences and seminars. His book Understanding T. S. Eliot and Harold Bloom is the only book comparing these two closely associated and yet antagonist critics. Recently he contributed papers on Nātyaśastra and Nautanki in international journals. He is also editing an anthology on the Indian Critics in English, which is soon to be published. Dr. Singh has also completed a diploma course in Nātyaśastra and is an emerging scholar of Nātyaśastra.
