About

Dr. Manoj Singh is a physicist working in the field of semiconductor materials and optoelectronic devices, with a particular focus on metal halide perovskites for energy and environmental applications. He obtained his Ph.D. in Physics from the Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar, where his research centered on electrical transport, dielectric spectroscopy, and photoelectrochemical properties of halide perovskite semiconductors.

He is currently a Research Associate at the Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science (IACS), Kolkata, where he is engaged in the fabrication and characterization of optoelectronic devices and the investigation of charge transport and ionic mechanisms using electrical and impedance spectroscopy techniques. His work bridges fundamental solid-state physics with applied device engineering.

Dr. Singh has also gained international research experience as a visiting researcher at CNRS, France. His research interests include low-dimensional and lead-free perovskites, charge transport phenomena, photocatalysis for solar fuel generation, and the development of stable semiconductor materials for next-generation energy technologies. He is particularly interested in translating materials research into functional devices and advancing interdisciplinary approaches at the interface of physics, materials science, and energy research.
