I am working as an Additional Professor in the Department of Microbiology, All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Bhopal, India. I am currently working on drug-resistant tuberculosis and non-tuberculous mycobacteria; clinical, diagnostic and molecular aspects. I am also trying to understand the geographic distribution, circulation and phylogenetic/phylogeographic peculiarities of MDR-TB strains and rapid identification with WGS of non-tuberculous mycobacteria. I am also trying to understand the various fungal Infections and pathogenesis in this part of the region.
