About

My current area of research is real time monsoon prediction and performing Statistical downscaling involving the establishment of empirical relationships between historical large-scale atmospheric and local climate characteristics. The aim is to create locally accurate climate information from global-scale data by placing it in the context of observed local climatological conditions.

Prior to this, I have worked in the area of Energy Economics and Decarbonization Policy. I am a gold medalist in MTech from West Bengal University of Technology (Dept. of Industrial Engineering and Management) and had been selected for DST Inspire Fellowship to pursue Doctoral Research in 2014 based on the topic "Sustainable Strategy Development towards Low Carbon Economy". I have completed PhD in 2021 and joined IDP in Climate Studies as Postdoctoral Research Fellow in February 2022 at IIT Bombay. I have worked here as an IPDF upto May 13, 2023 and then joined as a Senior Research Associate” for Urban flood monitoring and modeling with hydrometeorology under HE - IITB Innovation Centre at IIT Bombay. Presently working in collaboration with IIT Bombay and receiving ACCESS Award Funding and looking for Research Scientist Positions in leading Climate Think Tanks of India and also open to faculty positions in the field of Operations/Environmental Economics.
