About
Dr. J. Ramana Ramya received her Doctoral degree in Biomaterials from the Crystal Growth Centre at Anna University. She worked as a Research Fellow on a project funded by the Inter-University Accelerator Centre (IUAC), Delhi, India. She has in-depth knowledge of bioceramics and polymer composites for various biomedical applications. Dr. Ramya was awarded the Dr. D. S. Kothari Post-Doctoral Fellowship (DSKPDF) by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and was the principal investigator for a project on hyperthermia applications. She also has a year of postdoctoral experience at Tamkang University, Taiwan, where she conducted experiments at the National Synchrotron Radiation Research Centre (NSRRC). She has been recognized as a visiting professor and has received travel grants twice from the National Science and Technology Council (NSTC) in Taiwan in 2023 and 2024.
Dr. Ramya has published extensively in international peer-reviewed journals, including prestigious outlets such as Applied Physics Reviews, Composites Part B: Engineering, and Scientific Reports (Nature). She has also authored several book chapters and holds a granted Indian patent. She has received numerous awards for oral and poster presentations at conferences and has delivered plenary lectures at various institutions.
