About
Professor (Emeritus) Vijoy S Sahay, Former Head, Department of Anthropology, University of Allahabad, did his B.A. (Honours) and M.A. in Anthropology with First position in First Class from Ranchi University. He obtained PhD for his fascinating research work on the Nicobar Archipelago under the supervision of Professor L.P. Vidyarthi. Professor Sahay’s main areas of interest in Anthropology have been teaching anthropological theories, and conducting field researches among the most primitive tribal groups of the country, particularly the primitive tribes of Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
