About
Dr. Bhola Kumar Paswas is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Petroleum Engineering, Parul University, Vadodara. Prior to joining Parul University, He works as an assistant professor at NIMS University Jaipur Rajasthan and hold a Ph.D. and M.Tech from the Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines), IIT(ISM), Dhanbad. His current research areas are the Development of Emulsion Based Drilling Fluid systems for Shale formation. My research responsibilities induced the formulation of emulsion-based drilling fluids and their testing for applicability in the field of a drilling operation. The testing of drilling fluids involves measuring their properties using various instruments, such as Fann Viscometer, API filter press, Roller oven, shale recovery, slake durability, zeta potential, thermal stability, and Core flooding test for return permeability test. My research work also involves the synthesis of surfactants and their characterization. Other instruments I have proficient experience with include FTIR, DuNouy Ring tensiometer, TGA, Rheometer, Contact angle, and ion chromatography.
