Ir. Prof. Dr. R. Badlishah Ahmad is a prominent Professor of Electronic and Computer Systems at Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP) and a registered Professional Engineer (Ir.). Recognized for his transformative contributions to engineering research and higher education, he has held highly prestigious leadership roles, notably serving as the Vice-Chancellor of UniMAP (2019–2021), Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Research and Innovation at UniSZA (2017–2019), and the foundational Dean of the School of Computer and Communication Engineering at UniMAP. He earned his Ph.D. and M.Sc. in Optical Networking from the University of Strathclyde (UK), and a B.Eng. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Glasgow (UK).
