About
Soumyajit Roy is at present a Professor at Indian Institute of Science Education & Research, (IISER) Kolkata, India. Soumyajit completed his Ph.D with a summa cum laude from University of Bielefeld, Germany. He later moved to University of Utrecht's van't Hoff Laboratory for Physical & Colloid Chemistry, Utrecht, the Netherlands, to work as a post-doctoral fellow (2005-2007). In 2007 he moved to BASF-ISIS, Strasbourg, France to work as a researcher there. Before joining IISER-Kolkata he worked as a Professor at Changshu Institute of Technology, Jiangsu, in China.
Soumyajit is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry (FRSC) and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (FRSA) and Indian Chemical Society (FICS) and West Bengal Academy of Science and Technology (FAScT). He further serves as an associate editor of Journal of Molecular and Engineering Materials (World Scientific) and Frontiers in Chemistry and Chemistry Africa. He is a co-founder of a Start Up on Clean-tech, Catalysis and Healthcare.
