Translational scientist working at the interface of human genetics, cell biology, and clinical genomics, currently serving as Scientist at the Genetic Clinic, SRM Medical College Hospital and Research Centre. My work focuses on integrating molecular diagnostics with clinical interpretation to support precision medicine in hospital settings.
My research interests include cytogenetics, molecular genetics, cancer biology, and genomic instability, with specific emphasis on extracellular vesicles, liquid biopsy approaches, and biomarker discovery. I have extensive experience in karyotyping, FISH, PCR-based assays, and next-generation sequencing, including nanopore technologies, supported by bioinformatics-driven data analysis.
I have contributed to multiple funded research projects (ICMR, DHR, Smile Train, Ministry of AYUSH) and published in peer-reviewed journals in oncology, genomics, and molecular medicine. My work also includes genetic studies in congenital anomalies, infertility, and complex diseases, with a focus on translating laboratory findings into clinically actionable insights.
My current focus is on establishing integrated clinical genomics services, including diagnostic workflows, variant interpretation frameworks, and genetic counselling pathways within tertiary care settings, aiming to improve patient-specific diagnosis and managemen
