Dr. Subhankar Paul is the Professor of Department of Biotechnology and Medical Engineering, National Institute of Technology Rourkela, India.
He is also the Chief Investigator of Structural Biology & Nanomedicine Laboratory. He earlier served as Visiting Faculty at NIT Allahabad, India (2007), Assistant Professor and Associate Professor at National Institute of Technology Rourkela, India, (2007-2020), Visiting Scientist in Natural Institute of Natural Sciences (NINS), Japan (2009). His research interest is primarily on Nanotechnology in Therapeutic Applications , Nanoscale Biomolecular Self-Assembly and Medical Applications , Nanotechnology in Environmental Remediation , Surface Engineering of Metal alloys for Osteo-integratio for industrial applications.
He has executed number of research projects from various external agencies including Department of Science and Technology (DST), Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB), Department of Biotechnology (DBT) and Board of Research in Nuclear Sciences (BRNS), India. He has served as referee for a number of International journals, including ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces, Applied Organometallic Chemistry, Nanomedicine: Nanotechnology, Biology and Medicine – Journal, ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces, Journal of Hazardous Materials, International Journal of Biological macromolecule etc. He has more than 15 years of teaching experience in Nanotechnology in Medical Engineering, Protein Engineering, Structural Biology, Bioprocess and Biotechnology, Biochemical Engineering, Bioprocess Engineering, Cancer Biology, Molecular Modeling and Drug Design.
He has also published more than 50 research articles in the international journal of repute including FASEB Journal, Nucleic Acid Research (NAR), ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces, Applied Surface Science, ACS Langmuir, Colloids and Surfaces B: Biointerfaces, New Journal of Chemistry, Journal of Molecular Liquids, ceramic International, Environmental Science and Pollution Research etc. and authored number of book chapters published by Elsevier and Springer.
