About
I am an environmental and civil engineering academic specialising in waste-to-bioenergy conversion, with a primary focus on biohydrogen production and resource recovery from wastewater and sludge. My research investigates how physicochemical pretreatment strategies and anaerobic fermentation processes influence sludge solubilisation, bioconversion efficiency, and energy recovery.
My work emphasises energy-efficient and resource-oriented wastewater treatment systems, contributing to sustainable waste management and low-carbon energy recovery. I have published in peer-reviewed Q1 and Scopus-indexed journals and contributed book chapters in the areas of biohydrogen, anaerobic treatment, and waste valorisation.
In addition to research, I am actively involved in undergraduate teaching and academic service, with experience in outcome-based education, curriculum delivery, and quality assurance processes. My broader academic interests include integrating resource recovery concepts into wastewater treatment and advancing sustainable bioprocess engineering solutions.
