About
I started to work as a principal investigator at CNyN-UNAM in November 2018. With over a decade of experience in multidisciplinary projects merging chemistry and biology, my focus is on developing advanced nanomedicines and nanomaterials. My work aims to develop nanomedicines and nanomaterials with high therapeutic value, on-command delivery of cargo, and minimal toxicity. Current projects include the use of virus-like nanoparticles as smart delivery vehicles, enzymatic nanoreactors as targeted and smart multimodality nanomedicines and as efficient catalysts for industrial applications. Overall objective is to seek translational application of the promising candidates.
