Dr. S. Kaliappan is Professor in the Department of Mechatronics Engineering at KCG College of Technology, Chennai-97, where he has been a faculty member since 2023. He completed his Ph.D. at College of Engineering Gundy, Anna University, Chennai, his postgraduate studies in Internal Combustion Engineering at College of Engineering Gundy, Anna University, Chennai, and his undergraduate studies at R.V.S College of Engineering & Technology, Dindigul. He is in teaching profession for more than 25 years. He is recognized supervisor in Anna University in the Department of Mechanical Engineering in the research area Thermal Engineering, Heat Transfer, CFD, Composite Materials. He has served as technical committee head for varous conferences and workshop and worked as the reviewers and Editorial Board Member for several National and International Journals. He published more than 200 Papers in SCI/WoS/Scopus Indexed journals (238 Documents Indexed in Scopus Database with 26 h-Index and 2015 citations, In Google. Scholar 32 h-index 87 i10 index Citations 3149) , published 18 Indian Patent Publication and 1 Indian Design Grant Patent, 15 International Australian Grant Patents, 20 Book Chapters which is indexed in Scopus , 18 Books published with ISBN number and also Editor in 3 Book Chapters), organized nearly 20 STTPs, FDPs, Conferences and other technical events. He is Life member in Indian Society for Technical Education (LMISTE), International Association of Engineers (IAENG) , a fellow member in Universal Association of Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineers (UAMAE), Institute of Research Engineers and Doctors (theIRED), and also member in Society of Automotive Engineers (SAEINDIA). He got Best Academician Award for the year 2023 from Scientific International Publishing House. He got Young Researcher Award in InSc awards-2021 for his research work, which is published in the Journal of Applied Fluid Mechanics. He is a Member of the Doctoral Committee in Saveetha University.
