Dr. Varoon Singh
National Dope Testing Laboratory, University of Vienna, Defence Research and Development Establishment, HPT Arts and RYK Science College, Ghent University, American Chemical Society
About
He received his bachelor's degree in chemistry and master's degree in organic chemistry from HPT Arts and RYK Science College, Nashik, which is affiliated with the University of Pune, Maharashtra, India in 2011. He then moved to Defence Research and Development Establishment, Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, India, which is part of DRDO, and continued his Ph.D. study in Vertox Laboratory (OPCW Designated and ISO 17025:2005 certified laboratory) under the guidance of Dr. D. K. Dubey.
His thesis projects were focused on the development of functionalized magnetic materials and their application in the sample preparation for off-site detection of toxic chemicals from environmental matrices. After submitting his Ph.D. thesis he moved to the University of Waterloo as a postdoctoral fellow.
His research interests are focused on environmental and bioanalytical applications of different coatings in sample preparation in various formats for off-site and on-site analysis.
