Dr. Prashant Kumar is presently working as HOD Critical Care at Mahanandan Superspecialty Hospital, Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh. Previously he worked as Head of the Department (Critical Care), Yatharth Super Specialty Hospital, Sector 110, Noida UP and as HOD Critical Care, Kailash Hospital and Neuro Institute (KHNI), Sector 71, Noida, UP. He has more than 22 years of experience in critical care medicine after postgraduate qualification. He is proficient in lifesaving procedures and manages critical patients in ICU and Emergency. He is also actively involved in teaching/ academic, and research activities and is a recognized ISCCM Teacher.
He has completed the European Diploma in Intensive Care (EDIC), conducted by the European Society of Intensive Care Medicine. Besides this, he has completed Fellowship of the National Board of Examinations (Critical Care Medicine) and Indian Diploma in Critical Care Medicine (IDCCM) both recognized nationally and internationally. He has extensive experience of a wide variety of ICU patients and procedures. He is MD (Anesthesiology and Critical Care) and MBBS from King Georges Medical College, Lucknow. Besides these he has Advanced Diploma in Hospital Administration (ADHA) qualification from the Institute of Health Care Administration Chennai. He has extensive experience in medico-legal cases and has given expert opinion in several cases in consumer court and High Court, Lucknow from both petitioners and defendant’s side. He has several publications to his credit too. His interests include patient care, teaching, research, and administration. Considered as a team person with an enterprising attitude and high ethical standards, he is managing Intensive Care Unit and Emergency of tertiary care and super specialty hospital.
