Dr. P. Saranraj is currently serving as Head of the Department of Microbiology at Sacred Heart College (Autonomous), Tirupattur, Tamil Nadu, India. Dr. P. Saranraj holds a Ph.D. in Microbiology from Annamalai University and is NET (ASRB–ICAR) qualified in Microbiology. He has over 15 years of research experience and more than 11 years of teaching experience in Environmental Microbiology, Agricultural Microbiology, Industrial Microbiology, Nanotechnology, and Sustainable Ecosystem Management. Dr. Saranraj has an extensive publication record, comprising more than 250 international research articles, over 100 books (both international and national), and 120 book chapters published with reputed academic publishers. He is the inventor/co-inventor of 11 international patents and the recipient of multiple national and international patents related to microbial, nanotechnological, and environmental innovations. With over 6,583 citations on Google Scholar, Dr. Saranraj has established a strong scholarly impact. He actively contributes to scientific education through online courses, invited lectures, and digital learning platforms. He serves as an editor, reviewer, and author for several international journals and edited volumes and is a life member of multiple professional scientific bodies, reflecting his sustained commitment to research excellence, academic leadership, innovation, and capacity building in microbiological sciences.
