About
Subhomoy Haldar, currently an Assistant Professor at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur. Prior to this I worked as a postdoctoral fellow at Lund University, Sweden, focused on semiconductor-superconductor hybrid systems, specializing in the advancement of microwave photodetectors. He earned his Ph.D. in Physical Sciences from Homi Bhabha National Institute, RRCAT, India, in 2020, with a dissertation titled "Magneto-optical transport studies on ultralow disordered semiconductor quantum wells grown by MOVPE." Recognizing his exceptional work, he received the “Best Thesis Award” by the Indian Lasers Association and the “Outstanding Doctoral Student Award” by Homi Bhabha National Institute, India. During his doctoral studies, he was honored with the “Young Scientist Award” for developing a cost-effective maskless photolithography system. Subhomoy holds a Master of Science in Physics from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Hyderabad, India, and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Kalyani, India. With a prolific scholarly record, he has authored over 12 articles in international peer-reviewed journals.
