About
I am working as a Professor and Director at the Centre for Quantum Science and Technology, Chennai Institute of Technology, Chennai. I am recognized as a Supervisor for guiding Ph.D. Scholars of the Anna University, Chennai, under the faculty of Science and Humanities. My current research interests include the non-equilibrium dynamics of open quantum systems and quantum thermodynamics. This has decoherence problems in noisy quantum computing devices or quantum many-body systems, coherence and or decoherence dynamics for discrete and continuous variable quantum systems, reservoir engineering of quantum resources, measurement-based quantum control, quantum synchronization, many-body quantum battery, quantum thermal machines, non Markovianity and memory effects in open quantum systems, nonequilibrium transient dynamics of electron transport through molecules and quantum nanostructures. The physical systems I’m interested in are photonic, atomic, or spin systems like NV Center and NMR, cavity-QED, trapped ions, quantum hybrid optomechanical systems, mesoscopic and nanoelectronic systems including quantum dot and superconducting Josephson junction devices, and studies on matter-wave quantum dynamics.
