About
Dr O P Meena obtained his Ph D degree in Vegetable Breeding from the Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), Ludhiana, India in 2017. From 2017-2019, he was a Research Fellow in the Department of Vegetable Science, PAU, Ludhiana and undertook research projects focused on breeding tomato and chilli pepper for resistance to abiotic and biotic stresses. He was also associated with the development of genetic stocks incorporating cytoplasmic male sterility gene in chilli pepper. In December 2019 he joined the same department at PAU as Vegetable Breeder. He has skilled in field experimentation, vegetable breeding (pepper and tomato), vegetable production, seed production and protected cultivation.
Dr Meena published 22 research articles and 2 reviews in peer reviewed journals, and 01 book. He attended various scientific group meeting, conferences and workshops in India and abroad. He is member of thesis research of 03 M Sc and 01 Ph D students.
