Dr. Biswajit Kumar Swain earned his Ph.D. in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering from NIT Rourkela, where his research focused on thermal spray coating of Nitinol alloys for aerospace applications. He is currently serving as a Senior Research Scientist at Sahajanand Medical Technologies Limited, specializing in cardiovascular device manufacturing with a strong emphasis on new product development, Nitinol shape memory alloy, medical implants, material characterization, and process optimization.
Dr. Swain has authored 44 scientific publications and holds one patent, highlighting his significant contributions to materials engineering and medical device innovation. In addition to his research and industrial expertise, he actively supports the scientific community as a reviewer for over 25 international journals. He also serves as an Editorial Board Member for Materials and Design, Results in Surfaces and Interfaces, and Biomedical Materials Science.
