About

I am an Assistant professor at the Department of Architecture and Planning at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee. My research interest lies in interdisciplinary avenues for working with community with a particular focus on their rehabilitation and empowerment. Some of my research areas include: Community and architecture, Disability at the interface of architectural design and design theories, Assistive technology and assistive devices for disabled, Disability and disaster, Child-friendly architecture, Age-friendly architecture, Architecture, public health and healthcare, Work Space and User Experience, Participatory and/or Action Research, Qualitative methods.

When not working, I love traveling and sketching—traveling to new places close to nature, visiting age-old architecture and historical forts. Moreover, I love cooking, meeting people, and documenting this beautiful planet through sketches, photographs, and narratives.
